Hey there, I’m Kelly. And if all the world were a starship, I wouldn’t own quite this many red shirts. =)
I live by Star Trek and South Park — in other words, I do not care for all of the injurious and useless human pettiness that infects the very air we breathe, and I value free speech, the rights of the individual, respect, and the endeavour to become better than we are. I define people by the decisions they make, not the photo that was taken of them at birth.
I love Star Trek, South Park, Shakespeare, and swing. I have a very serious appreciation of many forms of artistic expression; I have a very non-linear and hardly literal mind (I like metaphors, images, and context); and I love learning everything that I can about, if you will, the human condition. I know I just used the word “serious” up there, but I like to take the attitude towards life that well, life is for having fun, for finding what makes you happy. I consider San Francisco my home, and I am currently studying Art History, Film, and Theatre at the University of Toronto.
I figured I’d try jumping on the bandwagon with this tumblr business. It’s nice to have a place to throw down a few thoughts every now and again, a place to communicate with people out of earshot, right? See ya around!
